Job Summary
Phlebotomist / Medical Laboratory Assistant for Full-Time role at Family Practice Associates in Central Kentucky. Responsible for phlebotomy and point of care testing as part of daily lab operations, including specimen collection and processing, inventory management, safety compliance, and adherence to quality control. Must perform duties and tasks related to specimen handling, records of patient test results, and maintaining a safe, clean lab environment. Requires proficiency in phlebotomy, lab procedures, and comfort with electronic health records; ability to stand for long periods, good communication, problem solving, and initiative; willingness to work Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with potential evenings and Saturdays. Positions located in Lexington, KY and Hamburg, Lexington, KY (US).
Required Qualifications
- Phlebotomy Skills / Experience
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Fine motor skills necessary to operate the computer and laboratory equipment
- Electronic health records experience preferred
- The ability to stand up most of the day, stretch repeatedly over the counter and lift loads of less than 10 pounds
- Good communication skills, problem solving ability, independent judgment and initiative
- Ability to prioritize and develop workflow
- Ability to perform other assigned tasks
