Job Summary
Review patient records, label samples, and set up equipment for venipuncture and finger-sticks. Centrifuge blood samples per clinical protocol, monitor patients for reactions, and ensure sample quality while maintaining confidentiality. Properly package and ship specimens to the central lab daily. Cross-train in Medical Assistant duties including Ankle Brachial Index, Osteoporosis, AFIB, and registration screening. Oversee sanitation, utilize personal protective equipment, and drive the company van to load and unload equipment. No on-call rotation or Sunday/holiday work; eligible for overtime, team incentives, and retention bonuses. Immediate access to comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k. Required Qualifications
- minimum of 1-year hands on venipuncture experience in a high-volume setting
- Precision phlebotomy skills with a minimum of 1 year experience with adult venipuncture
- Experienced with centrifuge and separating serum and plasma specimens into transport tubes using transfer devices
- Valid Driver's License and the ability to be insured to drive a company vehicle
- Strength in teamwork & collaboration; sharing responsibilities driving the company van, loading, and unloading equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Must be willing to cross train and perform additional tasks, such as: Ankle Brachial Index, Osteoporosis, AFIB, Patient Registration, and other health screenings within the Medical Assistant position
