Job Summary
Perform phlebotomies and collect blood from donors according to LifeSouth Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), utilizing automated instruments once trained. Register donors in the IBBIS computer system, determine eligibility based on interviews and physical processes, and accurately identify donors throughout the donation workflow. Assist in recruitment, tele-recruitment, and rescheduling, while converting donors to automated apheresis technology when appropriate. Provide high-level customer service to internal and external stakeholders. This full-time role requires prior clinical phlebotomy experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting salary is $18.50 - $20.35 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior clinical phlebotomy experience
- Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license
- Must meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
- Proficient in a variety of computer software applications
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Criminal background check
- Pre-employment physical
- Drug screen
