Job Summary
Phlebotomist with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Opelika, AL performs phlebotomies and collects blood from donors per SOPs, uses automated instruments (apheresis) after training, registers donors in IBBIS, determines donor eligibility, identifies donors throughout the donation process, assists with donor recruitment and rescheduling, educates donors on automated collection technology, and maintains compliance with policies and quality standards while delivering exceptional customer service in a team-oriented environment. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to work a varied schedule (nights/weekends/holidays), and strong communication/customer service skills; CDL holders preferred. This is a full-time role with a starting hourly wage of $15.50–$17.05, plus benefits such as PTO, health insurance, HSA with match, retirement plans, and other programs.
