Job Summary
Phlebotomist needed at Labcorp in Salt Lake City, UT. Responsibilities include performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests, data entry of patient information, processing billing information and collecting payments when required, preparing specimens for testing, maintaining patient and specimen logs, delivering superior customer service, and performing administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Preferred candidates have Labcorp experience or 1+ year phlebotomy experience; if no work experience, an accredited phlebotomy certification or training program is acceptable. May participate in quarterly incentive bonus program; comprehensive benefits for part-time and full-time staff; Labcorp is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
