Job Summary
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information, collect payments, and enter patient data accurately. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients and handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of phlebotomy experience, and Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency if experience is lacking. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm work schedule
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab environment
