Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing. Process billing information, collect payments, and enter patient data accurately into the system. Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service to patients and handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work Monday through Friday from 9:15 AM to 6:15 PM, with additional hours and rotating Saturdays as needed. This role serves as the face of Labcorp in our Patient Service Center or Client office, offering opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)
