Job Summary
Phlebotomist needed to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups in a client office setting in Columbia, MD. Responsibilities include collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests; accurate data entry of patient information; processing billing information and collecting payments when required; preparing specimens for testing; maintaining patient and specimen logs; providing superior customer service; and performing administrative duties as assigned. Requires high school diploma or GED or equivalent, phlebotomy certification or completed training program or minimum experience, ability to pass color blindness testing, flexible overtime, and strong communication skills. Travel to additional site as needed; opportunity for growth and a comprehensive benefits package. The role is full-time with a schedule of Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:00pm and alternating Saturday mornings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexible to work overtime as needed
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
