Job Summary
Phlebotomist needed for Labcorp at a medical clinic in The Woodlands, TX. Responsibilities include performing blood collections by veniputure and capillary techniques for all ages, collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity and alcohol tests, entering patient information accurately, processing and preparing specimens for testing, maintaining logs, and delivering superior customer service. The role also involves administrative duties, potential travel to additional sites, and may offer a quarterly incentive plan based on performance. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred candidates have 6+ months phlebotomy experience and/or certification, strong communication skills, ability to work independently or in a team, reliable transportation, color-vision screening, and flexibility for overtime. Benefits include medical/dental/vision/LTD/401(k)/PTO, with additional eligibility criteria depending on hours worked.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Preferred: 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Experience with data entry and billing support when required
- Ability to travel to additional sites when needed
