Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information, collect payments, and enter patient data accurately while maintaining logs. Prepare specimens for testing and analysis, and handle administrative duties as needed. Provide superior customer service to patients and travel to additional sites when required. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with rotating Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. This role is based in Madison, WI, within a Patient Service Center or Client office, offering opportunities for continuous growth and participation in the PST Incentive Plan.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
