Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information, collect payments, and enter patient data accurately. Prepare specimens for testing, maintain logs, and handle administrative duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Provide superior customer service to patients and work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with rotating Saturdays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
- 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
- Current or prior LabCorp experience
