Job Summary
Phlebotomist sought to perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques across age groups in Roanoke, VA, at Patient Service Centers or client offices. Responsibilities include specimen collection for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests; data entry of patient information; processing billing information; preparing specimens for testing; maintaining patient and specimen logs; and delivering superior customer service. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Flexible to work overtime
- Reliable transportation
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
