Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information, collect payments, and enter patient data accurately while maintaining specimen logs. Prepare collected samples for testing and analysis, and handle administrative duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Provide superior customer service to all patients in a fast-paced, high-volume office setting. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with additional hours and overtime flexibility as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
- Current or prior LabCorp experience
