Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information, collect payments, and enter patient data accurately. Prepare specimens for testing, maintain logs, and provide superior customer service in our patient service center. Handle administrative duties and travel to additional sites as needed. This role requires a high school diploma, phlebotomy certification, and experience with pediatric through geriatric patients. Work Monday through Saturday in a fast-paced environment with rotating hours and potential overtime. Quarterly incentive bonuses are available for meeting performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
- 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
- Current or prior LabCorp experience
