Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining accurate patient and specimen information logs. Enter patient data timely and process billing information to collect payments. Provide superior customer service as the face of the company in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. Travel to additional sites when needed and perform administrative duties. Requires Phlebotomy certification or equivalent training; schedule includes Monday through Friday with varying hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- 3 months or more of experience working with pediatrics
- 3 months or more of experience in a Labcorp externship program
