Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens, enter patient data accurately, process billing information, and prepare samples for testing while maintaining patient logs. Provide superior customer service and handle administrative duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. This role requires a Nevada state laboratory assistant license or a filed application, color blindness test pass, and strong communication skills. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; additional days/hours as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Experience in an Obgyn setting
