Job Summary
Phlebotomist position in Jacksonville, NC. Responsibilities include performing blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests, data entry of patient information, processing billing when required, preparing specimens for testing, maintaining patient/specimen logs, and providing superior customer service. The role requires phlebotomy certification or completed training (or 6+ months experience), high school diploma or equivalent, ability to travel to additional sites as needed, and the capacity to work effectively in a team or independently. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
