Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis, prepare them for processing, and perform accurate data entry of patient information. Process billing information and collect payments as required while maintaining patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients and handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed and work independently or in a team environment under minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to attend 2‐week training in California
- Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm schedule
- Additional hours and rotating weekends may be required
Desired Qualifications
- 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
- Current or prior experience with Labcorp
