Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens, enter patient data accurately, process billing, and prepare samples for analysis while maintaining patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients and handle administrative duties as necessary. Work Mon–Fri, 8:15am–5:15pm at a client site in Weaverville, NC, with flexibility for overtime and travel. Requires phlebotomy certification or equivalent training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Reliable transportation

- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
