Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information, collect payments, and enter patient data accurately. Prepare collected specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen logs. Provide superior customer service and handle administrative duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required. Work Monday through Friday from 1:15 PM to 9:45 PM in Grand Blanc, MI. This role offers opportunities for continuous growth within Labcorp's global network of laboratory services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Reliable transportation
- Clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program (from an accredited agency)
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
