Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining accurate patient and specimen logs. Enter patient information and process billing information and payments as required. Provide superior customer service to all patients and handle administrative and clerical duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:30pm, with additional hours and rotating weekends possibly required. Quarterly incentive bonuses may apply based on performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to attend 2‐week training in California
- Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:30pm schedule
- Additional hours and rotating weekends may be required
Desired Qualifications
- 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
- Current or prior experience with Labcorp
