Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining accurate patient and specimen logs. Enter patient data timely and handle billing and payment collection as required. Provide superior customer service to patients and complete administrative clerical duties. Maintain logs and ensure all collected specimens are prepared correctly for lab analysis. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm in a Patient Service Center.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)
Desired Qualifications
- Current or Prior Labcorp experience
- 1 or more years of experience working as a phlebotomist
