Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Enter patient data accurately, process billing information, and prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen logs while providing superior customer service and handling administrative duties as needed. Travel to additional sites when required and work Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Reliable transportation
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
