Job Summary
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process billing information and collect payments when required while maintaining accurate patient and specimen information logs. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis, ensuring superior customer service to all patients. Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary and enter patient data accurately and timely. Work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm in a Patient Service Center in Bluffdale, UT. Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is required in lieu of work experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current or Prior Labcorp experience
- 1 or more years of experience working as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
