Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Process patient data entry, prepare specimens for analysis, and handle billing and payment collection. Maintain patient and specimen logs while providing superior customer service. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm with flexibility for overtime and high-volume environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- 2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
- 1 or more years' experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
- Current or prior LabCorp experience
