Job Summary
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens, enter patient data accurately, process billing, and prepare samples for testing. Maintain patient and specimen logs while providing superior customer service and handling administrative duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with every other Saturday from 7:00am to 12:00pm. This role is based in a Patient Service Center in Macomb Township, Michigan, where you serve as the face of the company.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
