Job Summary
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, collecting specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Enter patient information accurately and timely, process billing information and payments, and prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs while handling administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Provide superior customer service to all patients and work independently or in a team environment under minimal supervision. Travel to additional sites when needed and work overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Reliable transportation

- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
