Job Summary
Phlebotomist/Clerk II responsible for phlebotomy including pediatric and geriatric patients, handling difficult draws, and supporting the phlebotomy team in specimen collection and processing. Primary duties include answering laboratory phones, assisting with supply orders, monitoring inventory, training new staff, and ensuring safety and accuracy in the Main Laboratory (DRH Outpatient) with advanced duties for issue resolution. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience and healthcare-related experience; phlebotomy certification preferred. Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills (EHR); ability to adapt to emergent situations; compliance with DRH standards and vaccination requirements. Respirator and fit testing required; safety-sensitive position with drug testing policy. Location: Duncan, OK (Duncan Regional Hospital, Duncan, OK 73533).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience
- At least 2 years in a healthcare related field or medical practice
- Some knowledge of medical terminology
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Current valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance (for travel positions)
