Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant

Job Summary
Performs technical laboratory procedures and conducts limited lab studies for the Downtown Center, including collecting specimens via venipuncture and capillary collections, preparing specimens for analysis, conducting tests (urine dip, HCT, FBS), maintaining logs and quality-control records, and delivering lab results to providers. Maintains equipment and adheres to Universal Precautions and OSHA regulations, with responsibilities including cleaning/disinfecting surfaces, preparing specimens, and supporting compliance with corporate procedures. Travel or reassignment to other locations may be required based on organizational needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent training and experience
- Medical Assistant preferred
- Two years laboratory experience
- Bilingual skills English/Spanish preferred
- Skilled in all disciplines of phlebotomy
- Willing to travel or be reassigned to other locations based upon the needs of the organization or individual performance
