Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining patient and specimen information logs. Enter patient data accurately and timely, process billing information, and collect payments as necessary. Provide superior customer service to all patients and handle administrative and clerical duties. Travel to additional sites when needed. Work Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with rotating Saturdays. Requires high school diploma, phlebotomy certification, or three months of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm and rotating Saturdays
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
