Job Summary
Phlebotomist - Inpatient (Nights and Weekends) performs advanced and routine phlebotomy, drawing blood and handling specimens for laboratory analysis in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include proper specimen labeling and identification, entering patient demographics, test orders, and billing information into the laboratory system, preparing specimens for transport, ensuring timely delivery to the lab, maintaining accurate records, complying with safety policies and PPE usage, and completing annual competency assessments. Positions are available at levels 1-3 based on education and experience, with shift coverage for nights and weekends. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a phlebotomy training course or on-the-job training, current BLS, and phlebotomy certification (PBT/PC/CPT) as applicable by level. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Phlebotomy training course or on-the-job training
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Phlebotomy certification (PBT/PC/CPT or equivalent)
- 1-5 years phlebotomy experience (vary by Level 1-3)
- Ability to perform routine phlebotomy procedures and data entry
- Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy policies
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
