Job Summary
Obtain in-house blood specimens and process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis; identify patients per policy, perform venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods, label specimens per policy, and manage orders and specimen processing. Provide patient information to the appropriate caregiver. 40 hours/week, Day shift at Saint Mary’s Hospital Lab in Waterbury, CT; team-focused, high-energy environment with attention to accuracy and patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- completion of Phlebotomy Training Program
- National Phlebotomy Certification preferred
