Job Summary
Collect specimens for drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams while administering oral solutions and verifying orders via lab technology systems. Process specimens by labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, and freezing them for transport, then handle non-patient-facing duties including inventory, sanitizing, and data entry. Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments in compliance with corporate policies. Maintain phlebotomy logs, temperature records, and departmental statistics, while completing all required training courses. This role requires three years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections, along with a valid driver's license. Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotational weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of phlebotomy experience, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Keyboard/data entry experience
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record, if applicable
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
Desired Qualifications
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training
- Phlebotomy certification
- Phlebotomy certification (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
