Job Summary
As a Phlebotomist II at Octapharma Plasma, you will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive donor experience. Responsibilities include executing venipunctures and plasma collections, operating plasmapheresis machines, mentoring Phlebotomist I, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting unsafe situations. Required skills include strong customer service, effective communication, and basic computer proficiency. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work flexible hours, and experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required
- Ability to perform venipunctures required
- Effective communication skills required
- Demonstrated consistency and reliability required
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis required
Desired Qualifications
- Certification or licensing based on State requirements
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Additional Requirements
- Must have completed documentation of training appropriate for duties prior to performing duties independently
