Job Summary
Join Octapharma Plasma as a Phlebotomist I, where you'll ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintain a high level of customer service, and assist in donor operations. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, executing venipunctures, monitoring donor conditions, and maintaining a professional environment. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with strong customer service skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to document accurately. Successful candidates must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and have the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent (GED) required.
- Must have completed documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties independently.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Able to make accurate and complete documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions required.
- Demonstrates consistency and reliability (good attendance, punctual, apply full effort throughout shift, flexibility with assigned schedule) required.
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis required.
- Ability to perform venipunctures required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or healthcare environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Any specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
