Job Summary
Join Octapharma Plasma as a Phlebotomist I and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while providing high-quality service to donors. Responsibilities include extracting plasma, maintaining safety standards, operating equipment, and ensuring donor comfort. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, customer service skills, and the ability to perform venipunctures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required
- Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals required
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions required
- Demonstrates consistency and reliability required
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis required
- Ability to perform venipunctures required
- Effective communication skills required
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
