Job Summary
Join Octapharma Plasma as a Phlebotomist I, responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining a high level of customer service, and executing venipunctures and plasma collection. You will operate automated plasmapheresis machines, monitor donor conditions, and perform regular maintenance on equipment. The role requires a high school diploma, strong customer service skills, and the ability to follow protocols in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility in schedule is essential, as you will work during daytime, evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocols
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required
- Ability to make accurate and complete documentation
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English required
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates consistency and reliability
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
- Ability to perform venipunctures required
- Effective communication skills required
Desired Qualifications
- Certification or licensing based on State requirements
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

- Must have completed documentation of training appropriate for duties prior to performing duties independently
