Job Summary
Join as a Phlebotomist I at Octapharma Plasma, where you'll ensure compliance with regulations, maintain high customer service standards, prepare equipment for procedures, execute venipunctures and plasma collections, and monitor donor conditions. Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and strong customer service skills. Candidates should have ability to follow protocols, make accurate documentation, and communicate effectively. Prior experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent (GED) required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals required
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required
- Ability to perform venipunctures required
- Effective communication skills required
- Able to drive training efficiencies to ensure timeliness and compliance
- Demonstrates consistency and reliability (good attendance, punctual, apply full effort throughout shift, flexibility with assigned schedule) required
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions required
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis required
- Must have completed documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties independently
Desired Qualifications
- Any specific certification or licensing based on State requirements
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
