Job Summary
Join Octapharma Plasma as a Phlebotomist I, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining customer service standards, and preparing equipment for venipuncture and plasma collection. Key tasks include executing venipunctures, monitoring donor safety, and documenting processes accurately. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred experience in a healthcare setting and relevant certifications are advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required.
- Able to make accurate and complete documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrates consistency and reliability (good attendance, punctual, apply full effort throughout shift, flexibility with assigned schedule) required.
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis required.
- Ability to perform venipunctures required.
- Effective communication skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Any specific certification or licensing based on State requirements.
