Job Summary
Join Octapharma Plasma as a Phlebotomist I, where you will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintain high levels of customer service, and handle venipunctures and plasma collection procedures. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, labeling samples, monitoring donor conditions, ensuring cleanliness, and performing routine machine maintenance. The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and completion of relevant training documentation. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent (GED) required.
- Must have completed documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties independently.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals required.
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions required.
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis required.
- Ability to perform venipunctures required.
Desired Qualifications
- Any specific certification or licensing based on State requirements
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

- Basic computer knowledge and skills
- Effective communication skills
