Phlebotomist I- Full Time

Job Summary
As a Phlebotomist I, you will be responsible for executing venipunctures and plasma collection, maintaining donor comfort and safety, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will set up equipment, label samples, maintain cleanliness of work areas, and troubleshoot machine alarms. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, relevant state certifications, and preferred experience in a medical environment. Strong customer service skills and basic computer knowledge are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Any specific certification or licensing based on State requirements
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills required
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals required
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions required
- Ability to perform venipunctures required
- Effective communication skills required
