Job Summary
Join Octapharma Plasma as a Phlebotomist I, where you will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, provide excellent customer service, maintain cleanliness in the work area, and perform venipunctures for plasma collection. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, monitoring donor conditions for safety, performing daily maintenance on machines, and maintaining proper inventory of supplies. Required skills include strong customer service abilities, basic computer proficiencies, and effective communication. A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary, along with preferred experience in a medical setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent (GED) required
- Must have completed documentation of training appropriate for duties, prior to performing duties independently
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal protocol required
- Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals required
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions required
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis required
- Ability to perform venipunctures required
Desired Qualifications
- Any specific certification or licensing based on State requirements
- Minimum three (3) months’ experience in a medical or health care environment or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
