Job Summary
Review procedures, perform routine quality checks, and ensure each site adheres to organizational standards and policies. Verify patient identification before procedures, ensuring accurate entry of billing information and compliance with organizational policies. Conduct phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture, capillary punctures, and stat draws while handling specimen collection with accuracy. Prepare specimens by labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing samples for transport. Collect payments as required and maintain all necessary phlebotomy logs, including maintenance and temperature logs. Follow all health and safety protocols, infection control standards, and biohazard disposal guidelines. Uphold strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA. Heritage Lab Services operates multiple sites in the Denton, TX area.
