Job Summary
Provide exceptional patient care and customer-focused service by performing venipuncture on patients of all ages. Collect and prepare non-blood specimens while ensuring proper specimen processing, labeling, and test ordering. Champion safety, compliance, and quality control standards in this full-time laboratory operations role. Routine access to Protected Health Information requires strict confidentiality adherence. Located in Gainesville, Texas, this 40-hour weekly position offers benefit eligibility, a 401(k) match, and free lab services for you and your dependents.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Trained on reasonable safeguards for PHI
- Expected to maintain strict confidentiality regarding PHI
- Abide by all applicable privacy and security standards
- Access PHI only when required to fulfill job duties
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians
