Job Summary
Collect and process patient specimens for testing in adherence with laboratory protocols, performing pre- and post-analytic phases. Identify patients, perform phlebotomy, label specimens, and verify samples before shipment and front loading on instruments. Execute registration, ordering, and clerical functions including telephone communication, report generation, and faxing while providing outstanding customer service. Requires formal phlebotomy training and certification (ASCP, NHA, or AMT preferred), plus high school diploma. Full-time, 1st shift, 35.5 weekly hours at Mount Holly, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience with demonstrated ability to perform detailed clerical work
- Previous experience working as a phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred
- Good interpersonal and time management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal phlebotomy training
- ASCP, NHA or AMT certification
