Job Summary
Obtain and process venous and capillary blood samples from patients of all ages, perform capillary glucose testing, and handle all laboratory specimens at the patient service center, main hospital facility, and client sites. Provide customer service to patients and stakeholders, assist in training students and personnel on specimen handling and transport, and complete associated clerical duties. Identify problems related to work activities and participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement efforts while utilizing hospital information systems. Required Qualifications
- Prior phlebotomy experience
- High school or equivalent (GED)
- Must regularly lift, carry or push/pull less than 10 pounds
- Must frequently lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 pounds
- Must occasionally lift, carry or push/pull up to 20 pounds
