Job Summary
Phlebotomist position requiring venipuncture and capillary blood collections across neonatal to geriatric patients, with duties including specimen processing, report routing, and daily management reports. Responsibilities include greeting patients, managing outpatient tests, ordering tests in CPSI, and occasionally driving to nursing homes for sample collection. Must maintain accuracy in laboratory files, handle phone inquiries, and operate in a fast-paced clinical environment; physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs and ability to move intermittently during 8–10 hour shifts; weekends and holidays may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma from a 6-8 week phlebotomy course or phlebotomy experience from previous employment is preferred
- High school graduates may be trained for this position
- Must have a valid driver’s license with no driving restrictions
