Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative III-Floater (PSR III) is responsible for drawing quality blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for lab testing while maintaining a safe and professional environment. This role requires direct patient interaction and leadership behaviors, ensuring confidentiality and process excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections
- Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric
- Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and clean driving record
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
- Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus
Desired Qualifications
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
- Keyboard/data entry experience
