Job Summary
Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests. Collect specimens for testing and analysis, enter patient data accurately, and process billing and payments. Maintain patient and specimen logs, provide superior customer service, and handle administrative duties while traveling to additional sites. Requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with varying hours. Float incentive and mileage reimbursement apply.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- At least 21 years' old
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM work hours
- Elgin, TX with surrounding cities
Desired Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
