Job Summary
Phlebotomist Floater with Labcorp seeks to perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, collect specimens for drug screens/paternity/alcohol tests, enter data accurately, process billing, prepare specimens for testing, maintain logs, and provide superior patient service. The role involves administrative duties, coordination of travel to multiple sites, and working across Fort Wayne and other IN sites. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1+ year phlebotomy experience (3+ years preferred for pediatric/geriatric). In lieu of experience, an accredited phlebotomy certification/training is accepted. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to travel between sites is required. The position supports independent or team work, flexibility for overtime, and passing a color-blindness test; PST incentive may apply. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
